The Forestry Division is responsible for trees and shrubs in all public areas. This division also helps to educate and inform city residents about the proper care and selection of trees and shrubs.

Property owners may be authorized to hire a private contractor to plant, trim or remove a tree in the right-of-way. Click here to view the permit/application which must be completed in order to receive this authorization.

2020 Tree Planting List

A project, funded in part by a Great Lakes Restoration Initiative grant, has allowed the city to plant over 300 trees at strategic locations within the city limits that lack desirable and/or sufficient tree canopies in 2019 and 2020.
