Established in 1818, Sandusky is celebrating its bicentennial with yearlong festivities during 2018. The city’s robust destination economy combined with rich traditions and history make Sandusky a desirable community to visit and live.
To mark the city’s bicentennial, Sandusky’s City Commission appointed a Bicentennial Commission to plan and execute a year-long celebration. The Bicentennial Commission is a volunteer board of community members with the task to stimulate pride, celebrate the past, and build momentum for future.
To commorate this historic year, various committees and sub-committees have been established to plan pillar events, history exhibits, community activities and legacy projects.
