The City of Sandusky’s Recreation Department is wrapping up the 2020 #RUNDUSKY Race Series with the fourth annual Dot the i, Block the M walk/run on December 12, 2020. The race series is sponsored by Firelands Regional Health System and participation is free, but participants must register for each race independently, prices and registration availability depend on each race.

Those who participated in four of the seven races will be awarded a #RUNDUSKY Race Series hoodie. Each participant who finishes more than four races will be entered into a drawing for a race package. The package will include running gear and free entry to area races TBD. 

The #RUNDUSKY 2020 Race Series originally included nine annual races in the city of Sandusky at the beginning of the year. Three of the races were canceled, others were virtual and one race was added to give participants seven options to run/walk: 

Humane Society of Erie County 5k 
Canceled, but preregistered participants were still eligible for #RUNDUSKY Race Series. Others still interested in getting credit for the race can make a $20 donation to the HSEC before December 12 for a stamp towards the series.

All for Abs Virtual Walk/Run
Virtual event from June 12-22 with access to Mills Creek Golf Course on two nights. Others still interested in getting credit for the race can make a $20 donation to the Abigail Bastien Memorial Scholarship Fund before December 12 for a stamp towards the series.

Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics
Virtual event from June 18-28

Running Virtual Laps with Lions Walk/Run
Virtual event from June 19-29 with one-day race in Sandusky’s Lions Park. Others still interested in getting credit for the race can make a $20 donation to the Sandusky Lions Club before December 12 for a stamp towards the series.

Boy with the Boot Virtual Run/Walk
Virtual event from July 3-13 with two-day live run.

Participation in the promotion is FREE and anyone interested can download a #RUNDUSKY entry card here.  Entry cards will also be available during the Dot the i, Block the M event. If you make a donation to one of the above races, you can receive your stamp(s) at the final event. 

The #RUNDUSKY Race Series will be back in 2021 thanks to Firelands Regional Health System. Details for the third year of the series will be announced at the start of the new year.
